Production
Manager

The Crop Manager oversees and ensures the execution of the production of cannabis plant varieties (from seeding to packaging), site hygiene and procedures to be followed to guarantee that our standards of top quality are observed. He is responsible for ensuring that the team adheres to our vision, our quality and performance standards in order to always offer the best possible products.
Functions and Responsibilities
  • Manage all cultivation activities from the initial phase of production and manage the expansion of the same site under Health Canada guidelines.
    • At the operations level,
  • Develop and implement compliant production plans and create standard operating procedures in collaboration with the quality assurance team.
  • Ensure compliance with SPS standards in handling cannabis.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure an integrated pest management (PM) program is in place.
  • Identify and manage cost improvement by contributing new ideas. Lead trials of new or improved products.
  • Manage data collection and ensure that all steps and follow-ups comply with government regulations.
    • At the administrative level,
  • Manage multiple production sites from A to Z, including: cleanliness of facilities, managing budget, production costs, performing general administrative tasks and purchasing materials as needed.
  • Provide staff development and performance management planning for all direct and indirect reporting, including ongoing skills training and onboarding of new employees.
  • Communicate effectively with other managers, supervisors and departmental employees to ensure prompt resolution of issues and achievement of culture department and corporate goals.
  • Manage safe working conditions and practices in the growing area. Apply the company's safety, health and environment policies.
  • Take care of all related documents and responsibilities.
Desired skills and qualifications
  • Possess a university degree in horticulture, agronomy or related discipline. Preference will be given to those with a master's degree, or graduate school, credentials in agronomy or a related discipline.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience in commercial farming or horticulture (preferred).
  • Be a good leader with a proactive mind and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Be an organized, methodical, detail-oriented person with good time management skills.
  • Possess the physical skills necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of an outdoor growing facility.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • $ 70,000 (flexible depending on experience)
