Cultivation Methods

In our various facilities, we experiment with different cultivation methods in order to consistently achieve the highest possible quality and output. Having mastered the traditional growing methods, we also experiment with and now use mobile vertical growing systems as well as aeroponic towers to maximise the use of available space.

Lighting Systems

Lighting is one of the most important factors in any indoor growing operation. In this fast evolving industry, it's highly important to stay ahead of the curve by constantly testing new products and technology in order to stay as productive as modernly possible with the latest available tools.

HPS Lights are considered to be the conventional lighting system used in indoor productions facilities. Many parameters affect results such as the power of the HPS system used, the selected periods of light and darkness as well as the intensity and distance from the plants.

CMH (Ceramic Metal Halide) Lights are considered to be the leading HID grow light technology on the market right now. They have a great PAR spectrum compared to any HID lamp, the slowest degradation rate, and they’re also more efficient than other HID lamp technologies.
LED Lights are a more modern technology that has been improving rapidly especially in the last 1-2 years. They have become wildly popular over the last few years due to their ability to produce great yields while staying cool and using a reasonable amount of electricity.

Agropod also participates in the development and engineering of LED light fixtures in partnership with different manufacturers. Our expertise in various cultivation methods and our dedicated R&D center allows us to conduct tests on real crops to collect data and provide feedback to our partners.

Agropod utilizes one of the most advanced environment management platform in the industry, which optimizes yields, control processing and facilitates distribution. It is unique and designed especially for Agropod. Our system is designed from seed to sale to maximize efficiency, output, and quality control. This technology allows us to manage several parameters in an automated and standardized way. 
Agropod's Environmental Control System monitors and controls:

It is well known that the conventional cannabis production processes consume a lot of energy. We work hand in hand with Quebec's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Hydro-Québec and other partners to build green buildings, reduce costs and make energy savings. We also perform tests on different types of lighting systems from different manufacturers thus ensuring we use the most efficient solutions available.
